| Here’s an absolutely geeky video that I came across when reading about non-newtonian fluids. While it is a fluid, when stressed it exhibits the properties of a solid. What this means is that if you stand still, you will sink like you would in any other fluid, but if you move fast it will be solid under your feet.
This particular pool of fluid is a mixture of cornstarch and water. You have to watch to get the entire effect. |
