Well after winning a few contests, I have to unfortunately say that I did not win the Nintendo Wii being offered by Tanya in celebration of her 10th year of blogging.

I was one of the 20 finalists, and was more than surprised at the number of votes I managed to get, even though I didn’t have time to campaign until it was nearly over.  A big thank you to all of those that took the time to go vote for me.

Congratulations to the winner, Tod Maffin. If that name sounds familiar, he is the National Technology Columnist for the CBC. As part of his campaign, Tod promised that he would attempt to go into a Future Shop and convince them to let him lick a Wii in the store; recording it for us to all see.   I’ll be watching for the results!

I bet you it tastes like spam. Spam from Russia at that.

Is this going to be a Vancouver Future Shop? Perhaps it will taste like fruit flies.

Ha! I can’t wait to post the video — Tod and I have both been busy, but I’m hoping to get him before the next Third Tuesday Vancouver meetup happening next Tuesday.

You did great with the contest! I’ll be having another contest, and this prize is way better than the last one! …Details coming soon.
